Neerja heads Communications at Obvious, leveraging her love for creative storytelling to drive all internal and external communication channels. She draws from her experience of working with agile technology start-ups to help mould Obvious’ brand voice through focused, visible and integrated strategies.
Neerja is passionate about transforming complex human insights into actionable results, and firmly believes that well-crafted messages will always have an audience.
A President’s award Gold Medallist for her Masters in Economics, Neerja was previously associated with Genesis BCW where she spearheaded their new business portfolio and pan India public relations mandate for Consumer and Enterprise technology clients such as Uber, Lendingkart and Accenture. She has also worked across domains as a visiting Lecturer at St. Xavier’s College Ahmedabad, a content writer and an editor for an online media firm, and as a managerial head for an NGO.
Neerja seamlessly balances the twin strengths of being crisp, time-conscious and sharp and setting up a function, while infusing conversations with her warmth and energy.
When asked why she's in the field of Communications, Neerja said:
A good day at work for Neerja is when the tasks for the day are listed out, where she can cross one out after the other, slowly but steadily, a few hours of deep work, and chai and music breaks, followed by an evening chat with the folks at office.
